World Championships- Argentina 2018

We are now all back from the ITF World Championships in Argentina, and what an experience it was.Daniel O Sullivan successfully defended his Senior Middleweight title in style, demolishing all opposition. Having only started Taekwon-Do at age 27 he is now a 2 times senior world champion.

James Dwyer made his first return the the World championships since his victory in Korea 2010 and won the Senior Heavyweight title.He fought through the pain of a bad leg injury to bring home the gold.Joshua Byrne wins Bronze in the Adult welterweight division. This tops off a great 2 years for Joshua where his performances and results have continued to improve.Paul Manning also wins Bronze in the Adult welterweight division. He now bows out of the Adult sparring division with 1 gold and 3 bronze medals from the past 4 championships.Amy Sullivan brings home Bronze from the Adult Ladies Middleweight division despite only being 17 years old. What a great future she has ahead of her. A world champion in the making.We would also like to congratulate the rest of our colleagues from Team Ireland. The camaraderie and support from all members of the team, competitors, coaches and supporters was immense.Next up is the European Championships in Cork 2019 and the World Championships in Moscow 2020.
